Vegas I Enjoy and Love
One of our first stops on the walking tour is Laura Kimpton's LOVE Sign. Accessible 24 hours but come early in the mornings, specifically during the week, and you can havethe whole sign to yourself! Come weekend, good luck fighting the hoards of other tourist that couldn´t care less if you've been waiting in the nonexsistent make-shift line (which is really just a mob of people crowding and crooning for an oppurtunity to run in for a snap).
For photos, people tend to crawl into the 'O', stand in it, lay in it, hump it, set your cellphone camera to winde angle and stand right infront and you should be able to capture the whole thing! Great spot for couples, family photos, I've seen many wedding phtos here including weddings infront! So where is this at?
Pass the lobby and through the casino we'll find Laura Kimtpon's ruby red LOVE sign!
Located in the Palazzo Hotel's waterfall Atrium, this steel sign is 12 feet tall, 36 feet wide and larger than life! Stamped with birds. Kimpton says, “‘LOVE’ is about being free to love who you want, the way you want. The bird stamps in the letters represent being able to follow your dreams, which is the message that I hope will inspire people as they interact with the piece. Las Vegas is the city where people pursue their dreams, and this sculpture will act as a touchstone for this pursuit.”
Before finding a home at the Palazzo, “LOVE” was displayed at the Life is Beautiful
festival in Downtown Las Vegas 2016.
